Tips on Moving to Las Vegas with Children

You and your family are moving to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here some tips for Moving to Las Vegas with Children

Well it’s set in stone. Regardless of whether or not you are moving from right down the street or the other side of the country, moving can be stressful, especially if you have children. Las Vegas isn’t exactly known for its love of children, but there are a few things you need to know before ruling the city out. There are also a few tips for you to use in order to keep your young ones excited about the big day.

Moving to Las Vegas Tell your Children, Gently

Let’s tackle the most important tasks first shall we? Assuming you have already picked out your Las Vegas moving company, it’s time to tell your kids. The farther away you are moving, the harder the change can be on your kids. Las Vegas, although not necessarily known for its kid-friendly atmosphere, can be a little intimidating for young ones. It is important that you break the news to your kids at the same and in an excited tone. You can tell them that it’s okay if they’re a little confused or nervous, but try to drown that out with the excitement of a long road trip to LV and how much fun they’re going to have.

Moving to Las Vegas Buy a house with a pool for Children!

Okay, this may seem a little silly, but it’s not. Las Vegas is a very hot and very dry city. There is very little humidity in the area, so kids are going to complain about the heat. Since it’s not very smart to keep kids cooped up inside all day long, you should invest either a house that has a pool, a gated community with a shared pool, or just plan on having to purchase a pool yourself. The kids will thank you and so will your sanity!

Moving to Las Vegas but Far from the City (depending on the age of the Children)

Las Vegas is a very loud, very busy city. It is also, obviously, extremely bright. Try to find a neighborhood that is not near the heart of Las Vegas, aim for the outskirts. It’s best to try and find an area that is closer to the mountains for a few reasons:
1. It’s usually around 10 degrees colder compared to the city, whether changes occur more often near the mountains (little more rain, even some snow depending on how high up the mountain you are), and it’s much more open.
The dessert is in your backyard verses a large street with thousands of cars. Living farther back also just makes it easier for the moving company you chose to get your items to you. There will be no hassle parking and your kids can get to their toys much faster!
